BASE MATERIALS & FILLS

Base materials are those materials used for building or installing something when a good, solid, compactable, structural material is needed. It is typically used under driveways, walkways, roadways, sidewalks and buildings. The exact material used is dependent on the application and desired thickness.

Fills are used when the project does not require a solid, compactable, structural material. Fill materials are typically used under lawns and landscape areas and around buildings. The exact material used is dependent on the application and desired thickness.

Below is a list of the Base and Fill materials we offer. We would be happy to assist you in determining the best material for your job. Just contact us with the details!

Screened Fill

A general soil material that is screened through a 3" deck opening and is used for fills less that 12" depth. It is easier to maintain a grade than the Bony Fill. Used to for shallow fills under yards and lawn area.  This material is not a Bank Gravel and will not pass compaction test requirements.

Large Loam Tailings

Large materials removed in the Loam screening process. Consists mostly of rock but contains a mix or roots and wood. Used to fill low areas, wet areas, pools and areas not requiring compaction.

2" Loam Tailings
